Through the special interviews with the show’s puppet director, touring crew, and performers, we uncover the unseen craftsmanship behind the spectacle:carbon-fiber structures, African-sourced materials, meticulously engineered puppets, and costumes tailored to each performer’s body and skin tone.
On this stage, storytelling extends beyond narrative.Humans and animals coexist in hybrid forms, simplicity of movement breathes life into complex structures, and performers adapt in real time to mechanical unpredictability.
This is a column about how objects become alive, and how live performance continues to breathe through precision, vulnerability, and collaboration.
